Technique: 23 blocks, each comprising 459 textile squares, hand-assembled to produce a relief effect – three dimensions with a double dotted line – and two blocks both comprising 459 squares assembled with a smooth finish. The surface is quilted on canvas through a polyester core chosen for its extreme whiteness.

Description: In a chromatic range first used in Interferences in 2018, the lines of force resemble those of the Magma series: they evoke the trickle of a liquid cooling, as if halted by the temperature or the wind.
In the top-left corner, the contrasting texture of the two blocks each with 17 x 27 squares assembled in classic fashion, contrive to produce a watermark effect, like a throwback to another, smoother cap of ice.
The broken lines of quilting cut diagonally through individual squares or pairs of juxtaposed squares.

Description : Inspired by tablets adorned with calligraphy in a Korean temple, Magma 1 conjures up lava that no longer flows freely as it cools. As a variation on the different shades of black, grey and charcoal interspersed with red and blue lines of force, Magma 1 gives an illusion of perpetual vibration. The addition of glossy red textiles adds to the vibratory sensation, depending on how the viewer moves and their viewing angle

Description: Created after Running Water 3, Running Water 4 comprises five panels, each works in their own right. They have been assembled “inside out” to create a honeycomb surface that catches the light, while also bringing novel relief to the textile, conferring a soft sensuality. Each textile fragment seems to blend into the next, creating a blurry optical sensation, akin to Impressionism
The overall composition slants ever steeper, suggesting a mountain, a torrent or the moraine of a glacier. The broken lines of quilting amplify the sensation of falling

Description: As for works in the Moments Series, the Semagrams reprise the lines of force in a photographic collage by Karl Hermann Haupt, a Bauhaus student from the early 20th century.
In this Semagrams Series, the decision to reduce both the colour palette and the format augments the visual effect. More vibrant, the composition with its criss-cross gentian blue lines seems to be imbued with tension.
Central to the composition, two drawings from the original block are complete, surrounded by ten partial blocks, suggesting the full deployment of the drawing.
The off-centre concentric quilted spokes enhances the dynamic effect and holds the three layers together.
